Adorar a Dios y liderar con una visión de liderazgo con propósito

Adore is not a passive emotion—it is an intentional act. It’s a decision to exalt, to revere, and to esteem highly. And in the Kingdom, adoration is leadership in motion. It transforms environments, anchors your identity, and reminds the world what—and who—you value most.

We are commanded to love with intentionality:

“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” — Deuteronomy 6:5

In Deuteronomy and Joshua, we hear repeated calls to love God diligently, fully, and faithfully. This is not legalism—it is legacy. Adoration builds legacy because what you adore, you prioritize. And what you prioritize, you lead with.

I. Adore God: First and Foundational

Jesus made it clear: adoration begins vertically.

“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” — Matthew 22:37

To adore God means we center our lives around Him. We exalt Him above our ambitions, egos, and even good intentions. It means we lead with worship, not just work. When we adore God, obedience becomes joy—not obligation.

💡 Leadership Insight:

You can’t lead from a place you haven’t loved. If God doesn’t have your heart, your leadership will lack His hand.

II. Adore Yourself: The Mirror of Wholeness

Adoration isn’t arrogance—it’s alignment. To love yourself is to recognize that you were made in the image of a holy God. When you truly adore the God who made you, you’ll begin to treat His creation—you—with the reverence it deserves.

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” — Psalm 139:14

Self-adore isn’t self-indulgence. It is stewardship. Leaders who neglect themselves eventually fail the people they were called to serve. Boundaries, rest, mental health, and spiritual nourishment are signs of leadership maturity—not weakness.

💡 Leadership Insight:

You can't pour from an empty cup—but you also shouldn’t try to lead with a cracked one.

III. Adore Others: Love in Action

“Love your neighbor as yourself.” — Matthew 22:39

To adore others is to see them through God’s eyes—to value, uplift, and serve. This doesn’t mean you agree with everyone, but it means you respect the imago Dei (image of God) in them. Honor is the currency of Kingdom leadership.

In the workplace, church, or home, adoration looks like listening well, forgiving freely, and encouraging consistently. It means leading with empathy, not ego.

💡 Leadership Insight:

The strength of your leadership isn’t measured by how many follow you—but by how many feel seen, heard, and valued because of you.

Write Your Story: Adoration in Practice

Every day is a blank page. How you speak, choose, and connect will determine what legacy you leave behind. Your adoration—of God, self, and others—is the ink that writes your leadership story.

Your Words Matter

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth… that it may minister grace.” — Ephesians 4:29

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” — Proverbs 18:21

Words can build or break. Leaders build with grace.

Your Choices Matter

“I have set before you life and death… therefore choose life.” — Deuteronomy 30:19

Adoration is seen in your decisions. What you choose reveals what you cherish.

Your Associations Matter

“Consider diligently what is before thee…” — Proverbs 23:1

Who you walk with affects what you worship. Choose company that cultivates purpose, not chaos.

Reflection Questions

  1. How does your leadership reflect your adoration for God?

  1. In what ways do you honor and care for yourself as a leader and vessel?

  1. What intentional steps can you take to express greater love and value toward those you lead or work with?

  1. Do your daily choices, conversations, and associations support the legacy you want to build?

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Teach me to adore You with every breath I take. Let my heart, mind, and soul be fully aligned with Your presence and Your purpose. Help me love myself as one made in Your image—not out of pride, but out of deep respect for Your handiwork. And teach me to love others with grace, empathy, and compassion. May my leadership be marked by worship, honor, and humility. Let the story I write with my life glorify You in every chapter.

In Jesus’ name, Amen
