Liderar con propósito: aceptar la guía divina en tiempos de incertidumbre
As leaders, we face a world of uncertainty, shifting values, and diverse challenges. Whether in the workplace, community, or ministry, we are called to stand firm in our identity and lead with purpose, clarity, and integrity. To effectively navigate the complexities of this world, it is crucial that we anchor ourselves in the truth of God’s Word. Today, we ground our leadership in the timeless wisdom of Psalm 119, which illuminates our path with His divine light.
Psalm 119 reminds us of the importance of walking in God's precepts and the strength we find in His guidance. For us to be just and humble leaders—especially in a generation that is rich in diversity of culture, age, and ethnicity—there are key leadership characteristics that must define us. These qualities will help us lead with integrity, intentionality, and a deep commitment to truth.
1. Love for Truth
A love for truth is foundational to just leadership. We must seek truth in all circumstances, from decision-making to relationships. As leaders, when we embrace truth, we walk in transparency and honor, building trust with those we lead. Truth is not just about facts; it’s about alignment with God’s will and standing firm in His principles.
Reflection Question:
-
How do I ensure truth is the foundation of my leadership decisions?
-
In what ways can I grow in my love for truth, both personally and professionally?
2. Integrity and Intentionality
To lead with integrity is to remain constant in our principles and actions. As leaders, we are the first to model the values we wish to see in others. Intentionality in our actions means not only doing things with purpose but also with the awareness that our choices will influence those around us. Each step must be taken with a clear sense of God’s call on our lives.
Reflection Question:
-
How intentional am I about making decisions that align with my values and calling?
-
In what areas of my leadership can I grow in integrity, even when it’s challenging?
3. Divine Guidance
True leadership comes from a place of humility and submission to God’s guidance. We are not called to lead in our own strength but to rely on the Holy Spirit to direct our steps. Seeking divine guidance helps us navigate complex issues, especially in a diverse environment. With God’s direction, we walk confidently in the purpose He has set before us.
Reflection Question:
-
How often do I seek God’s guidance before making decisions?
-
How can I cultivate a deeper dependence on His wisdom in my leadership?
Scripture Focus:
Psalm 119:105 – “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Closing Prayer:
Father,
We come before You today, declaring that Your Word is our guide and our lamp. We anchor our hearts in Your truth and seek Your wisdom in all that we do. Grant us a deep love for truth, integrity in our actions, and the intentionality to fulfill the purpose You have set before us. May we walk humbly before You, relying on Your divine guidance as we lead in every sphere of influence. We commit our leadership to You, trusting that You will direct our steps.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
