Terminando con fuerza: los estudiantes de último año brillan en una clase de fitness inspiradora

This morning, during my usual fitness class, something extraordinary happened. Our class is mostly made up of senior citizens, many of whom are retired. While we were doing a line dance routine that included the cha-cha and the samba, one of our eldest members—who is in her nineties—suddenly brought a burst of energy that electrified the room. With a big smile, she yelled, "If you still got it, why not use it?"

It was a stunning departure from her usual quiet participation. Her energy set us all on fire. She reminded me that gifts and talents are without repentance (Romans 11:29), and as long as we have life, we have a responsibility to use them to impact our generation.

It doesn’t matter if you are nine or ninety—if you still have breath, you still have purpose. Every day we wake up, we must ask ourselves:

Why am I here?

Who am I meant to inspire today?

Discipline: A Key to Finishing Strong

To fully embrace our purpose, we must commit to disciplining ourselves in three key areas:

1️⃣ Body: Staying active and taking care of our physical health enables us to serve and enjoy life to the fullest.

2️⃣ Soul (Mind, Will, and Emotions): Our thoughts, attitudes, and choices determine how we navigate life. A healthy soul leads to a productive and joyful life.

3️⃣ Spirit: Our relationship with God is the foundation of everything. Keeping our spirit strong through prayer, worship, and His Word sustains us through every season.

The Bible reminds us:

📖 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (NLT)Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.

We must continually strengthen every part of our being so we can finish strong. It’s not about how we start—it’s about how we finish.

Run the Race with Endurance

Ecclesiastes 9:11 tells us that the race is not given to the swift or the strong, but to those who endure. That means our journey is a marathon, not a sprint.

📖 Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV)Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

We are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses—those who have gone before us, cheering us on. And just as we are being encouraged, we must also encourage others. It isn’t over until it’s over!

The Call to Keep Going

The 90-year-old woman in my class didn’t hold back. She didn’t worry about her age or limitations. She simply used what she had and inspired all of us. What about you?

💡 Are you holding back your gifts?

💡 Are you letting age, fear, or doubt stop you?

💡 Are you committed to strengthening your body, soul, and spirit?

If you still got it, use it! The world is waiting for what God placed inside you.

Devotional: The Race Isn’t Over

Scripture Reading:

📖 Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV)Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

Reflection:

Many people start strong but struggle to finish well. Life is full of challenges, but the key to victory is endurance. God calls us to be faithful in every season—whether we are young or in our later years.

Even when life slows down or our roles change, our purpose remains. Just like the 90-year-old woman who danced with energy and joy, we are called to give our best with what we have, where we are.

We must take care of our body, soul, and spirit so we can finish the race strong. We don’t run alone—Jesus is with us every step of the way.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for giving me life, strength, and purpose. Help me to run my race with endurance. Strengthen my body, renew my mind, and refresh my spirit so I can serve You faithfully. Let my life inspire others, and may I finish strong in Your purpose. Amen.

Action Step:

Take one step today to strengthen your body (exercise), soul (renew your mind), or spirit (spend time in prayer and worship). Commit to using what you have for God’s glory!
