What will people remember because of your life?

Buildings eventually fade. Moreshet lasts through people. It is the spiritual, cultural, and Kingdom legacy Avodah is designed to leave behind.

Moreshet — a Black elder mentor placing his hand on a younger man's shoulder, generational transfer of faith
    Definition

Moreshet is the intentional transfer of wisdom, faith, leadership, values, culture, testimony, and Kingdom principles so they continue to shape people long after we are gone.

    The biblical foundation.

In Deuteronomy 33:4, Moses gives Israel a morashah — an inheritance. Not land. Not money. Torah. The instruction itself is treated as the covenant possession of a people. That is Moreshet: identity, faith, and formation handed forward as the real inheritance.

Paul understood it. He wrote to Timothy: "I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice" (2 Timothy 1:5). Three generations of women handed Timothy something no salary could replace. That is Moreshet in practice.

    The Moreshet Transfer.

Four intentional practices that turn a life into legacy.

    01

    Witness

Name your testimony out loud, in writing, and in front of the next generation. Untold stories do not transfer.

    02

    Wisdom

Codify the lessons — books, letters, recorded conversations. Wisdom evaporates when it lives only in one person's head.

    03

    Walk

Disciple by proximity. Moreshet is caught more than taught. Let the next generation see the daily rhythms.

    04

    Willed

Formally send. Commission successors by name. A legacy without a named heir is a legacy that dies with you.

    The Moreshet Initiative.

Moreshet lives across every corner of the ecosystem — in the podcast conversations, the library, the chaplaincy work, and the mentorship rooms. Coming initiatives include the Moreshet Podcast, Moreshet Library, Moreshet Archives, Moreshet Fellowship, and the Moreshet Leadership Series.

Avodah produces more than success. It produces legacy. Moreshet preserves who we become. Yerusha provides what we leave behind. Kingdom Builders are called to leave both.
