Discipleship?
Discipleship isn't a curriculum. It's an apprenticeship — the daily, embodied work of learning to live the way Jesus lived. We call it Avodah: work, worship, and service braided into one whole life.
Discipleship is the lifelong process of becoming like Jesus through daily practice, real community, and obedient action — formation over information, character over content.

The four marks of biblical discipleship
Strip the modern noise and the New Testament pattern is brutally simple. Jesus did four things with the twelve. We still do them.
Be with him
Mark 3:14 — he appointed twelve that they might be with him. Presence precedes performance. Time in scripture and prayer is non-negotiable.
Work like him
Jesus didn't teach in a classroom — he taught on the road, at tables, on boats. Discipleship is apprenticeship in real work. This is the Avodah principle.
Love like him
John 13:35 — by this all will know you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. Discipleship without honest community is a costume.
Send like him
Matthew 28:19 — go and make disciples. You are not the terminus of grace. Every disciple is in motion toward someone else.
Discipleship is forged in the work, not around it.
The American church often treats discipleship as something that happens around your real life — small groups on Tuesday, sermons on Sunday, devotionals in the cracks. Jesus did the opposite. He discipled people inside their vocation, on the lake while they were fishing, in the field while they were sowing.
