    Reflection Thought

Scripture teaches that our words carry power. They can wound or heal, discourageor strengthen, divide or restore. Proverbs describes the tongue as atree of life— a source of nourishment, healing, and renewal for those whoencounterit.

As leaders, the environments we shape are deeply influenced by what we say and how we say it. Our words set tone, create culture, anddeterminewhether people feel valued or diminished. Long before policies or strategies take effect, speechestablishesatmosphere.

Life-giving speech begins in the heart. When our hearts are aligned with God, our words become instruments of grace, wisdom, and peace. We learn to speak with restraint, intention, and compassion, allowing our voices to build rather than break.

Today we ask God to purify our hearts and guide our tongues so that our speech becomes a source of life in our homes, workplaces, and communities.

    1. Do my words consistently build others up or unintentionally tear them down?

    2. How does my tone influence the atmosphere around me?

    3. Where do I need greater restraint before speaking?

    4. What would it look like for my speech to become a source of healing?

    5. How can I use my voice to create life and encouragement today?
